The below Nagamaki and Nodachi were made for my dojo and I wrapped them with grippy tape so new students would lose control of these large weapons.
These long Buki weapons are laminated with jatoba iron wood for the striking edge and white oak for the spine. They are hefty weapons and feel very similar to their real Shinken counter-parts. There are two options for tsuba to choose from if you want to add one to your weapon.
Nagamaki: $135
Nagamaki with Standard Tsuba: $155
Nagamaki with Deluxe Tsuba: $165
Nodachi: $140
Nodachiwith Standard Tsuba: $150
Nodachi with Deluxe Tsuba: $160
Tsuba Options
Both types of tsuba are made of rubber and are one solid piece (no more rattling plastic tusba that slides around during training). The deluxe is slightly larger and provides more hand protection, it is a stiffer rubber, and it has nicer details. The standard is a bit smaller and more flexible and it's not quite as nice looking as the deluxe, but it is a vast improvement over the cheap plastic tsuba that comes with production bokken and still provides better protection than not having one.
