Bokken (Wood Swords) Katana and Ninjato

Bokken
42 inches overall, 12 inch handle. The bokken are laminated with different woods to be more like a real katana. They have a very dense wood for the striking edge with progressively lighter woods for the core and spine. These absorb impact so your hands don't fatigue after repeated striking in the dojo. They are also incredibly light for how strong they are and feel more like a real sword in the hands than traditional bokken. There are two types of rubber tsuba to choose from (see bottom of page for descriptions)
Bokken:$95
Bokken with Standard Tsuba: $105
Bokken with Deluxe Tsuba: $115

Togakure Ryu Ninjato
33 inches overall, 10 inch handle. Like their larger brother, the Ninjato bokken are laminated with different woods to be more like a real katana. They have a very dense wood for the striking edge with progressively lighter woods for the core and spine. These absorb impact so your hands don't fatigue after repeated striking in the dojo. They are also incredibly light for how strong they are and feel more like a real sword in the hands than traditional bokken.
Ninjato: $85
Bokken with Standard Tsuba: $95
Bokken with Deluxe Tsuba: $105

Tsuba Options
Both types of tsuba are made of rubber and are one solid piece (no more rattling plastic tusba that slides around during training). The deluxe is slightly larger and provides more hand protection, it is a stiffer rubber, and it has nicer details. The standard is a bit smaller and more flexible and it's not quite as nice looking as the deluxe, but it is a vast improvement over the cheap plastic tsuba that comes with production bokken and still provides better protection than not having one.
